If you wanted to bet me that this 53 man roster as it stands right now would be the same in three days from now I would throw up everything I own and take the bet.

Now the guessing game begins. Is there a trade in the works? And if so is it for a big name WR? Who on the bottom of this roster has trade value? 

Alan Ball and Evan Oglesby made the 53 man roster. Something is up folks. There is no way both of them are on this team when opening day comes around. I think Oglesby is on the block right now.

James Marten made the 53 man roster because the Cowboys kept 11 offensive lineman and this was after already making a trade. I still say Montrae Holland is the starter against Cleveland.

Is Keith Davis coming? Looks like it and I am oh so happy about it, read here.

The Cowboys are negotiating with former safety and special teams ace Keith Davis and plan to re-sign the veteran by the end of the weekend.

Davis, who signed a free-agent deal with the Dolphins in the off-season, was released by Miami earlier this week. Apparently, Davis had re-injured his shoulder just before training camp and by the time he finally got healthy, it was too late for him to get into the mix as a starter. And the chance to start was the main reason Davis opted to leave the Cowboys in the first place.

Jerry and Wade had to bring him back after seeing how poorly the special teams coverage units played this preseason. There has been talk Davis wants a shot at playing Safety, but it's not like teams are knocking down his door with offers. If he wants a shot at a Super Bowl run then Dallas is the best place for him right now.

I think James Marten or Alan Ball will be the guys cut unless they pieces in some trade talks. 

I keep hearing the Cowboys want to bring in Chris Simms. My gut says he goes somewhere that has an unsettled QB situation because he doesn't want to be in another situation where he's the third QB again.
 
Practice squad? Erik Walden, Richard Bartel, Mike Jefferson, Danny Amendola, Dowayne Davis, Todd Lowber, Marcus Dixon and Rodney Hannah would be my choices. The problem is that I don't think all 8 of them will make it thru waivers.

By Monday evening I think this situation will be much more settled.
