Three things that me and Wade completely disagree on
Wade Phillips really drives me nuts sometimes. Today in one presser he had me annoyed at three different times.
Some people agree with there being no tackling in the training camp practices. I am not one of those people and in fact I strongly disagree with it.
Here's the first time Wade had me annoyed today...
Wade talks not tackling in practice
So is this Wade telling us he just realized that because they weren't tackling in practice that it may translate into the defense not tackling well in the games?
When I heard this I wanted to yell out to Wade. What did you think was going to happen!!!
And don't hand me the 'we don't want to get our guys hurt' BS either. I am not saying to go crazy and start letting these guys go berserk in practice and knock each other out on a daily basis, but running around two hand touching for three weeks isn't going to help anyone get used to tackling in a live game.
There are a lot of signs popping up recently that Wade is 'coaching scared' and this is just another piece of evidence to that fact.
Wade gives us another one here while talking about Felix Jones returning kicks...
Wade talks Felix NOT returning kicks
What? You drafted the best kick returner in college football and he isn't the starting RB yet you don't anticipate him doing that job for your team this season because you are afraid he's going to get hurt?
Scared. Why is this man so afraid of everyone getting hurt? It's football Wade! You can't play football if you are scared of getting hurt because the old adage tells you that if you do that then that's exactly what will happen.
Some get Wade 'The Cowardly Lion' Phillips some courage already.
And finally the last thing I completely disagree on with Wade.
Wade talks Bradie on the Nickel
Yes, Bradie made a nice play last Saturday as the nickel LB on a 3rd and 5. Yes, Bradie seems much faster now that he has lost some weight and is playing around 245lbs.
But I still don't want him on the Nickel. Why stick him out there when you have a guy who is sitting on the bench who's faster and has been practicing the position for two years now.
Let Bobby Carpenter have the job until Burnett comes back and let Bradie stay fresh as the 1st and 2nd down guy. As a matter of fact out of Bobby, Zach and Bradie I would chose Bradie third to fill that Nickel LB job.
Ok, enough of me bashing Wade.
