The NFL Network is set to hire Bob Papa to replace Bryant Gumbel as their play by play man, read here. 

The NFL Network wisely has decided to take my advice and hire Bob Papa as its new play-by-play man, replacing Bryant Gumbel, who had held the job for the previous two seasons.

I don't know when the network is announcing this, but three people familiar with the situation said Wednesday that Papa would be the choice.

Of course I am not all that enthused that a 'Giants homer' will be calling the Cowboys vs Ravens in the last regular season game at Texas Stadium. But it's ok, because Troy Aikman will be doing the last ever game at the stadium in the NFC Championship game where the Cowboys will be defeating the Saints.

Then the Cowboys will be smashing the Chargers in Super Bowl XLIII!
