Found a couple of interesting notes in the 'Mick Shots'

There are other players on this team besides Roy, Greg, Terry, Tony and T.O. ya know!

Here's some interesting stuff I found in the latest 'Mick Shots', read here.

Trying to make him as versatile as possible, the Cowboys have tackle James Marten, last year’s third-round draft choice, working at left guard with the second unit. Marten reminds he played guard two years at Boston College and that he actually felt more comfortable returning to the left side after backing up at right tackle last year.

Could James Marten being pushing Kyle Kosier for the starting Right Guard job this summer? Maybe, but probably not. A few things that make answer maybe are the fact that he's a better run blocker and should be playing Guard in the NFL, not Tackle. Kosier isn't a mauler and I think new offensive line coach Hudson Houck wants that type of player so his run game can become dominant. The last reason is because Kosier was the weak link last season and there is always a chance a younger, highly drafted player can take your job when you are the weak link on any unit.

Oh, in case you are wondering, Pat McQuistan was working at right tackle with the second unit while Doug Free was at left tackle.

McQuistan has been all potential since he got here so it maybe time to see what he's got, especially with Marc Colombo only having one more year left on his contract.

Take a listen to Bradie James when talking about attending these OTA workouts: “It is voluntary but you want to be accountable to your teammates,” and this was in reference to no one in particular missing the practices. And when asked why he was here, James said, “I volunteer to be here. The team is my family, and I’m going to be here.”

Did you hear this Greg Ellis and Roy Williams? Now that's a defensive leader talking right there!
