Here's my wrapup of all the OTA wrapups
Why decline to speak to the reporters? Yeah I know, he's tired of the questions and the criticism. It comes with the package deal of being allowed to play a game for millions of dollars. The more people stand up for Roy and the less he stand up for himself the more this thing will just continue to grow and grow and grow.Williams declined to speak to reporters, but the rest of the team - from players to head coach Wade Phillips to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones - fielded questions about the Pro Bowl safety whose struggles in coverage last season and apparent concerns about finding a comfort level in the defense have caused many critics to wonder if his best football days are behind him.
"The only thing is, for my players and guys on my team, I hate to see guys get bashed," Phillips said. "It's kind of been a Roy Williams bash here for some reason. Roy did not give up a deep pass last year - not one. I don't know if you can say that in previous seasons, because I wasn't here then, but he did not give up a deep pass.
"He can do better, but he was voted in the Pro Bowl. He was our second-leading tackler, and he missed two games. He had a lot of positives last year that people are overlooking."
Wade is supposed to back his players so I take his comments for what they are, positive reinforcement. Let's hope it works Wade.

I'm still very iffy on the idea that Terry Glenn is really going to help this team much in 2008.But when wide receiver Terry Glenn is missing his second week of the four-week OTA period, that absence becomes more glaring since the 12-year veteran is coming off a season basically lost to two arthroscopic knee surgeries occurring after the start of last summer's training camp.
Red flags immediately rise.
But the Cowboys insist there is little correlation between Glenn missing the first five OTA workouts, and likely the sixth out here on Thursday, and a troublesome knee. In fact, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who two weeks ago fully expected Glenn to participate in these workouts and heavily contribute this coming season, still insists Glenn is doing well.
"Well this is voluntary, so to each his own," Jones said, seemingly insinuating this is Glenn's decision not to participate in these particular workouts. "While we think players, and a team, get better by going through these, don't get me wrong because I don't want to take away from the work that's been done.
"On the other hand he's a guy who has a lot of good experience, knows it, and I don't want him to leave any ball games out here on the practice field."
Here's a sample of Albert Breer's take on how the players looked at Wednesday's OTA's, read here.
Jenkins is going to be a baller. I was watching him the other day and he kind of reminds me of a 'thicker Terence Newman'.For now, and probably until Pacman Jones is reinstated, Mike Jenkins has entrenched himself as the club's No. 3 corner. In nickel looks, Terence Newman is kicking down to the "Star" position in the slot, as he always has, with Jenkins coming in on the left side. And in the two practices we've watched, Jenkins has looked mighty impressive, though he was beaten for a touchdown by Sam Hurd in the red-zone passing skeleton (7-on-7s). On that play, Hurd made a nice in-and-out move, prompting Jenkins to bite on the slant, and went over his back, where he stretched out for a Tony Romo offering.
Here's a sample of Tim MacMahon's take, read here.
No more reverses for T.O., it's just not his thing.*Not quite sure what to think of the reverse to T.O. Tony Romo is the lead blocker on the play, and while he threw a few pretty good pretend blocks, the design of that play seems to be begging for Brad Johnson to get meaningful snaps.
