Oh no, is Greg Ellis whining yet again?
What's an offseason without Greg Ellis doing his now annual act of griping about something or another and then acting like a fool, read here.
Ellis is a nut case and he lives in his own head when it comes to paranoia. Every offseason he gets worried that something isn't going to go exactly as he would want it to go and then he does something like this.
The Cowboys are smart in thinking that Spencer should be starting and then letting Ellis be the pass rush specialist. Ellis would still be as effective and Spencer gets in his time to learn the NFL game.
What's the problem?
All Ellis has to do is work less for the same money and I am sure he could generate just as many sacks by being fresher and coming into the game when the situation calls for him to be on the field. The best part is that it should actually prolong his career.
But Ellis is a weirdo so he's acting like a fool as usual.
Please don't tell me that you are in shock that Ellis is doing this and also that the Cowboys are doing this. Both of these things are not shocking to me in the least.Dallas Cowboys linebacker Greg Ellis was absent from organized team activity practice Wednesday.
He didn't give an explanation, saying only that "I'm in town," via a text message.
This time Ellis has made no secret of his disappointment/distrust over how it seems the Cowboys are planning to use him in 2008.
His repetitions in practice have been limited in an attempt by the Cowboys to get 2007 first-round pick Anthony Spencer more work and to extend Ellis' career.
The Cowboys have informed Ellis that they would like to make him a pass-rush specialist and use Spencer on first and second down.
Ellis, however, doesn't trust the Cowboys' motives and thinks something bigger is at work.
