Coach Stewart relays his thoughts on Roy Williams

Sounds like the unscheduled meeting that took place between Roy Williams, Brian Stewart and Brett Maxie was a good thing because two of the three have now come out and said they cleared some things up, read here.

"I think he felt pretty good about everything," Stewart said on the golf course today. "I think all three of left that meeting feeling comfortable that we've got an open line of communication. Everyone knows where everyone stands. The past was the past and now we've got a chance to move forward."

Let's hope now Roy Williams feels like there is an open line of communication which it seems wasn't there last season judging by his recent comments.

Coach Stewart's second set of comments seem to say that Roy was maybe asked to work some things this offseason...

But Stewart was quick to insist that there's no problem with Williams willingness to work, nor does he detect a problem with his confidence.

"I'm not concerned about his confidence and I'll tell you why -- Because he's done everything he was supposed to do to improve himself and get better and play at a high level," Stewart said.

Now only if Roy would come out and make comments like that I think the fans would feel better about him. He doesn't come out and say he needs to do things to improve his play, instead he comes out and says he's happy about his play and that the fans/media don't know what they are talking about when criticizing him for his play.

Let's stay tuned to see how this Roy soap opera plays out.
