Ellis yapping it up again, trying to explain 'Roy comments'

The following article is the exact reason Greg Ellis annoys me when he starts blabbing away in the offseason, read here.

Cowboys linebacker Greg Ellis didn't take back anything he said about safety Roy Williams on Sirius Radio today when reached Thursday afternoon. But he did try to offer some perspective, while making sure his words weren't taken out of context.

"It bothers me when people criticize Roy," Ellis said. "I was trying to give Roy the benefit of the doubt and let everyone know that he told me before the season that the defense didn't fit the type of player he was.Roy is not going to say anything. Roy doesn't want people to think he was crying and complaining."

That last part is simply hilarious. 'Roy doesn't want people to think he was crying and complaining', so then you go on Sirius radio and tell everyone that that's exactly what he was doing last summer!

Ellis said the reason he got into this on Sirius Radio today was because is growing tired of all the criticism Williams has gotten. He said its unfair that many fans are saying he shouldn't have made the Pro Bowl and that the Cowboys should get rid of him.

"I feel bad for my teammate," Ellis said. "Everybody is saying they need to get rid of him, they need to trade him. I think he gets a bad rap. I hate it for Roy myself. One thing you can't say I said about Roy is that he should be traded or let go. I think he should stay my teammate. When someone asks me a question, its my job to be on Roy's side and that's what I was doing. I don't think he should go anywhere. He should stay here."

So you don't want people to criticize him. Then why go on the NFL channel on Sirius radio and give people a reason to criticize him?

Greg Ellis just needs to stay away from the media. He's too dumb and they are too smart. Every offseason he finds a way to make some headlines with some stupid commentary.

At least in the previous few seasons it was something that concerned him, but now he is adding fuel to the 'Roy Williams Fire' that has already been lit for a few years now.
