Aikman and Novacek elected into College H.O.F

As Troy Aikman was showing the world he was going to be a great QB at UCLA I was watching the Cowboys sink to being one of the worst teams in the NFL in the late 80's. But as we know it all worked out in the end because he was there for Jerry as the #1 draft pick in the 1989 NFL Draft.

Aikman, as well as Jay Novacek, will be honored for their college careers, read here.

Aikman started his college career at Oklahoma, then transferred to UCLA. After two stellar seasons (1987-88) with the Bruins, he was drafted first overall by the Dallas Cowboys. He inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

“College football has meant so much to the sporting history of our country, and it means a lot to me personally,” Aikman said in a statement. “The opportunity to share this recognition with my former Cowboys teammate Jay Novacek will make this experience all the more rewarding.”

That combination of Aikman to Novacek is legendary and not just for Cowboys fans. It seemed like every time Aikman knew he needed a play to be made he went to Novacek.

Here's a great look at Aikman..

Here's 'Crazy Legs' Novacek going for a TD..

That 'Crazy Legs' nickname is probably just used by me, but in my opinion it definitely fits. That run is one of the best hurdle TD runs I have ever seen.
