NFL snubs Cowboys for National Game

The Dallas Cowboys will not be playing in a Sunday Night or Monday Night game to open up the 2008 NFL season, read here.

The Indianapolis Colts will host the Chicago Bears in Sunday night's prime-time game, the first regular-season contest at Lucas Oil Stadium. ESPN will feature a Monday night doubleheader -- the Green Bay Packers, in their first game without retired quarterback Brett Favre, will host the Minnesota Vikings in the early matchup, while the Oakland Raiders will host the Denver Broncos in the late contest.

I know I am biased, but who wouldn't rather see the Cowboys vs Seahawks or Cowboys vs Bengals over all three of those games? The Colts and Bears? The Bears stink and the Colts are played out because we have been watching the same offense over and over again for so long. Packers without Favre against the Vikings with a 'soon to be career backup' QB is a snore fest. Broncos vs Raiders, these used to be good games - back in the 90's when the Broncos were a great team!

I would bet the Cowboys are the National 4:15pm game on Fox though. Wouldn't mind seeing them play a clunker team like the 49ers either so we can start the season off with a dominating win where Romo throws for 4 TD's.
