How about Kevin Jones?
Surprisingly the Lions cut former first round draft pick Kevin Jones today, read here.
This is a guy the Cowboys could definitely be interested in because he's only young and has shown to be a very solid RB when healthy. I repeat, when healthy. The problem is that he is often on the bench because of some injury that won't allow him to play ball.
There should be a lot of interest in him from other teams so if the Cowboys are interested they must show him the love ASAP. No one will be giving him big money though because of his durability issues. The Cowboys would just need to make the contract a win, win situation for both parties if he can stay healthy.
Here's some video on him..
Maybe playing as a change of pace/3rd down RB can help him stay healthy.
This move also puts the Lions in position to draft a RB come April, they have the 15th pick, so that also means one more team that goes before the Cowboys going after the same position. If Jonathan Stewart, who had surgery on his foot today - read here, or Rashard Mendenhall are on the board the Lions will go after them.
We should know by tomorrow if Jerry is interested or not.
